Prof. Dr. Asghar Khan, a distinguished figure in the field of physical therapy, holds a Doctor of Science in Physical Therapy (DSc PT) with a specialization in Manual Therapy from Andrews University, Michigan, USA. This degree, recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan as equivalent to a PhD, represents the highest level of clinical specialty doctorate globally. He is also a Certified Manual Physical Therapist (CMPT) from the North American Institute of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy (NAIOMT), USA. Dr. Khan pioneered the introduction of the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program in Pakistan and played a key role as the Convener of the National Curriculum Revision Committee (NCRC) for the DPT program under HEC in 2016. His contributions extend beyond academia, as he is the founding ex-president and chairman of the Pakistan Physical Therapy Association (PPTA). Currently, he serves as the Chief Editor of the Journal of Riphah College of Rehabilitation Sciences (JRCRS), which holds "Y" category recognition from HEC. Additionally, Dr. Khan has chaired four international conferences on rehabilitation sciences in Pakistan.
